BERNIE'S STORY
BERNIE'S STORY
Born and raised in small town Harriston, Ontario, Bernie Hale is a singer-songwriter whose homegrown roots are embraced in every word, verse and song. His music stems from the genres of songwriter-folk and americana, with an acoustic sound that highlights his intense and heartfelt lyricism.
Bernie’s artistic sound has been influenced by the artists he grew up listening to; John Prine, Burton Cummings, and Paul Simon - new artists like Noah Kahan, Zach Bryan, and Sam Barber – and more than anything, the roots of his artistic identity have been shaped by every memory he’s been lucky enough to experience with the people who surround him.
Notably, Bernie has performed in Beyond Borders at the Guelph River Run Centre, opened for Walk Off the Earth at the Elora Centre for the Arts, and has had two original tracks featured on the ‘100.1 The Ranch’ radio station.
His debut single ‘Pawn Shop’ showcases everything his music stands for – loving the life you’re living, appreciating the little things, and keeping your head but giving your heart.
